Winning the War Against Terror: Freedom on the Internet

Every year or two I subscribe to the New York Times. And after three months, my stack of unread papers threatens block the light in my apartment like Manhattan skyscrapers in the Big Apple.

Recently I came across an article from the May 1st edition, 1st page, about software programs that undermine national net censors in Iran, China and elsewhere.

Local college students and liberal public interest groups develop and distribute these programs, which enable a growing number of curious minds to read freely the tons of information available on the internet.

This can only help in the war on terror, and I hope somewhere, the CIA or NSA is able to use it's vast resources to help along internet freedom.

At little cost, it could be our most effective weapon in the War on Terror.
